The Importance of Pet Insurance

If your pets are important to you, the importance of pet insurance cannot be overstressed. You might believe that should your cat, dog or even your pet pony ever become ill, you will be able to meet the vet's bill. After all, when you were a child it didn't cost your parents much for their vet's bills and if the pet couldn't be cured it would be put to sleep.
'Put to sleep' is, obviously, a colloquialism for put down, or destroyed, although such drastic action of the 1950s and 60s is no longer as necessary as it was then, because medical science has developed significantly over the past few decades. What was once incurable can now be cured, and your little Fluffy or Gnasher can now be cured - but at a price, although insuring your pet need not be prohibitively expensive.
How would you feel if you were informed that your dog's condition was 100% curable, but that you could not afford the cost? Rotten! Ashamed that you could not raise the cash to save your adored pet's life! That is the importance of pet insurance!
Pets are almost part of the family these days, and while we have the NHS to look after us what do your pets have? Nothing, except their trust in you to look after them when they need it! Sure, your cat might look at you with disdain, but she keeps coming home so you must mean something to her. Your dog loves you and trusts you, yet many people do not deserve that trust because once their loving dog gets injured, needing some expensive surgery, you have to turn your back and let him die because you thought insuring your pet too cost too much.
